The Stars and Bars.
The Confederacy used this as their first national flag from when they were formed, until May 1, 1863, due to it looking to similar the the Union flag, confusing many generals, and leaders. It was created by Prussian artist Nicola Marschall.
The Stainless banner.
The Confederate States used this flag from May 1,1863, through March 4, 1865. It got changed due to it looking to similar to the plain white surrender flag. It has the Virginia battle flag, which has never been a national flag, in the top corner. It was created by the Richmond Clothing Depot.
Blood Stained Banner.
This was the 3rd and final Confederate National flag. It was in use from March 4, 1865 until the end of the civil war only a few months later. It looks very similar to the stainless banner, but it has a thick red stripe on the right side. Major Arthur L. Rogers proposed the red stripe therefor making the flag.
